      Funeral services celebrating the life of Linda Douzart Johnson will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 24, 2017, in The Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria with Dr. Chris Thacker officiating. Burial will follow in Frazier Cemetery, Prospect. Visitation will be observed from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

      Pallbearers honored to serve are Ben Girlinghouse, Justin Michiels, Logan Franks, Nathaniel Matthews, Ricky Watkins, Sean Bernard and Shay Bernard. Honorary pallbearers are Nathan Johnson, James Johnson and Scott Johnson.

      Linda Douzart Johnson, 68, of Colfax passed from this life on, Monday, March 20, 2017, at Rapides Regional Medical Center.

      Linda was a bookkeeper by trade and retired from Brian Clinic with 35 years of service. Following her retirement she worked for Hardtner Medical Center for 3 years. Linda was an avid reader but her greatest joy was her grandkids. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend who was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

      She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Calvin D. Johnson; parents, Emile and Eunice Chelette Douzart, brother, Rodney Douzart, sister in law, Glenda Ardoin and brothers in law, Steve Crouch and Darwin Johnson.

      She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Girlinghouse and husband, James; daughter of her heart, Tammy Franks and husband, Chris; grandchildren, Emily V. and Benjamin T. Girlinghouse; grandchildren of her heart, Justin K. Michiels and wife, Brooke, Logan and Katie Franks; sisters, Sarah Watkins (Richard), Patricia Crouch and Christine Adams (Wes); brothers, Johnny Douzart (DeeDee) and James Douzart; sisters in law, Kathy Douzart, Janell Johnson and Jimmie Bernard; brother in law, Glenn Johnson (Linda) and a host of other family members and friends.

      Late Spring Marriage Plans Told

      The engagement and approaching marriage of Miss Mary Patricia Douzart to Steve Alan Crouch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene H. Crouch of Alexandria, is announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emile Douzart, also of Alexandria.

      The marriage will be solemnized May 31 at 3 p.m. in St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. A reception will follow at, the church.

      Obituary for Steve Alan Crouch
      Services for Steve Alan Crouch will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 3, 2017, in St. Rita Catholic Church with Rev. Craig Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Frazier Cemetery in Dry Prong under the direction of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home.
      Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 2, 2017, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Visitation will resume at 8:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Friday, March 3, 2017, at the funeral home.
      Steve Alan Crouch, 66, of Otis, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017, in his residence.
      Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Gene Homer Crouch and Violet June Guillet Crouch, and his sister, Lori Elaine Crouch.
      Steve was born in Rapides Parish where he lived his life and raised a family. He is an alumni of Bolton High School Class of 1969. After high school, he proudly served his country in the Navy Sea Bees and Navy Reserve for 7 years. Following his time in the military, he spent the next 39 years as a member of the IBEW Local #576. Steve was a third generation Journeyman Wireman, with the last 10 years serving as Project Manager. When he was not working, he enjoyed hunting and fishing at his Toledo Bend Lake camp. He always loved and provided the best for his family. Steve will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
      Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Patricia Douzart Crouch; one son, Christopher Alan Crouch and his wife, Suzanne Middleton Crouch; one daughter, Stacie Dawn Crouch and her husband, Kyle Patrick Everage; siblings, Susan Crouch Dusang, and her husband, David Dusang, Russel G. Crouch, Brenda Crouch Johnson and Angie Lynn; 2 grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
      Pallbearers honored to serve will be Christopher Crouch, William Vanderford, Russel Crouch, Carl Cedars, Kyle Everage and Gerald Lemons. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kevin Wehunt and Ricky Watkins.
