      Lena Looper Maxey

      Services for Mrs. Lena Looper Maxey will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 9, 2002 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Rev. George Carr officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Chapel Cemetery, Williana.

      Mrs. Maxey, 93, of Dry Prong, died Monday, May 6, 2002 in Tioga Manor Nursing Home.

      She is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus James and Lucy Louella Milstead Lasyone; two husbands, Rayford Looper and Joseph A. Maxey; one son, Millard E.L. Looper; and one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Kilgo.

      Survivors include one daughter, Dee Neal of Pineville; two sisters, Lucille Taylor of Denham Springs, Irene Whatley of Picayune, Mississippi; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

      Pallbearers will be Ken Neal, Jr., Kenny Neal, Steve Neal, Joey Velek, I.E. Thames, and John Williams.

      Friends may call Wednesday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until service time.

      Kenneth Elisha Neal

      Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth E. Neal will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2013 in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, Louisiana with Reverends Danny Garner, Dustin Cameron and George Carr officiating. Interment will be in Liberty Chapel Cemetery, Williana, Louisiana, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home in Pineville.

      Mr. Neal, age 73, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Tioga Manor Nursing Home, Pineville, Louisiana.

      He was a native of Montgomery and Dry Prong. He was a member of Fellowship Chapel, Ball, La., and also attended Dry Prong Assembly of God. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Berlin Crisis. He was a retired plumber and barber. He was a devoted and loving husband and father.

      He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Bessie Neal; one brother, Tomas Neal; two sisters, Marie Swilley and Angeio Irvin; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Kilgo.

      He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Dee Looper Neal of Pineville; one son, Kenneth Elisha Neal, Jr. (Dena) of Ball; two daughters, Tena Voorhies (Jimmy) of Kolin and Lesa Kilgo (Jeff) of McLough, Kansas; one brother, Steve Neal (Kathy) of Tioga; one sister, Judy Fontenot of Dry Prong; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and thirteen step-great grandchildren.

      Pallbearers will be Jimmy Irvin, Phillip Irvin, Kenny Neal, Preston Mosley, Bill Gregory and Benny Gough

      Mrs. Neal, 81, of Alexandria died at 10 p.m. Monday in Rapides General Hospital.

      Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Neal of Pineville and Steve Neal of Tioga; two daughters, Julia Fontenot of Dry Prong and Wanda Irvin of Dickenson, Texas; one brother, Ira Downs of Colfax; one sister, Oleta Bowie of Montgomery; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
