RUFUS J. LASYONE
WINNFIELD, La., Dec. 8--(Special)--Rufus J. Lasyope, 63, for the past 15 years a local plumbing contractor, died at his home here on Lafayette street, Thursday morning from a stroke. He had been in ill health for several months. Hixson Rros. funeral home late Thursday afternoon said complete funeral arrangements had not been completed. The deceased was a member of the First Baptist church and the Woodmen of the World. He was born and reared in the Atlanta community and has been a resident of Winnfield for the past 17 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lucy Milstead Lasyone; one son, William W. Lasyone of Winnifield; five daughters, Mrs. Gladys Eagles and Miss Lucille Lasyone of Winnfield, Mrs. Lona Looper of Williana, Mrs. Irene Whatley, Picayune, Miss., and Miss Beaulah Lasyone of New Orleans.

Lucy Malone
(Special to the Town Talk)
WINNFIELD, La. -- Mrs. Lucy Malone, 82, died Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in Winnfield General Hospital. She was the widow of W. L. Malone.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Lucille Taylor of Denham Springs, Mrs. Beulah Stowers of Las Vegas, Nev., Mrs. Irene Whatley of Picayune, Miss., Mrs. Lena Maxey and Mrs. Gladys Eagles, both of Williana; a brother, J. G. Milstead of Ft. Smith, Ark., and a sister, Mrs. May Claybaugh of Dallas, Tex.; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Hixson Bros. chapel in Winnfield at 2 p.m. Sunday. Burial is to be in Winnfield cemetery.
