      PALESTINE - Services for Barbara Mae Wilson Ferles, 75, Palestine, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Scott Dornbush and the Rev. Dr. Randy Fitzgerald officiating.

      Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery under direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.

      Mrs. Ferles died Aug. 30, 2007 in Tyler.

      She was born Oct. 21, 1931, in Dallas to Pat and Lura Mae Wright Wilson. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Palestine, was a business woman in Houston in construction and owner of a lady's clothing store. After moving to Houston County, she chartered Grapeland Propane and Fuel, Inc. and owned a ranch on the Percilla Road. She was an active participant in the Grapeland Peanut Festival, providing award-winning floats for the queen contestants. After retiring to Palestine, she was active with The Stockpot and also delivered Meals on Wheels.

      She was preceded in death by her first husband, Milton Fehrle Sr.; sons, Milton Fehrle Jr. and Thomas L. Fehrle; and sister, Patte Sue Rice.

      Survivors include her husband, John J. Ferles, Palestine; daughter, Janie Lay, Spring; son, Michael D. Fehrle, Houston; brother, Richard Melton, Spring; and four grandchildren.
