      OBITUARY

      Eva Mary Boyce was born in Ohio on July 1, 1870. She, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Boyce moved to Kansas about the year 1872. They homesteaded land about 2 miles southeast of Roxbury, where she spent her girlhood days. She wa3 converted and united with the M. E. Church at the age of 14 years, where she was always an earnest worker and devoted christian. Her early life was given to school teaching until she was married to E. G. Crofoot, November 17, 1909. To this union was born one child, Eva Ruth.

      She leaves a husband, one child, one sister, Lollie May Richard of San Francisco, Two brothers, D. D. Boyce of Rialto, California and F. R. Boyce of Roxbury to mourn the loss besides a host of friends. Her father, mother and one sister proceeded her to a better world. She departed this life June 14, 1921 at Moore Haven, Florida. She nobly lived and died and came to the end of earths (sic) pathway at the age of 50 years, 8 months, and 13 days, rich in the love of friendship.

      "Now the laborer's task is o'er,
      Now the battle day Is past,
      Now upon the farther shore
      Lands the voyager at last.
      Father in thy gracious keeping,
      Leave we now thy servant sleeping

      Funeral services were held from the M. E. Church at Roxbury, Kansas Sunday June, 19 by the pastor of the church, Rev. 0. N. Wiles. A large crowd of old friends and relatives were assembled.

      DEATH OF MRS. CROFOOT.

      Word was received of the death of Mrs. Eva Boyce Crofoot, at her home at Moore Haven, Florida. Her death occurred Tuesday morning and burial will be made in the Canton Cemetery. Definite arrangements for the funeral have not been made, but it is expected to be held Sunday afternon (sic).
