John J. Rogers Died At His Home Friday
Was Lifelong Resident of Superior Community and Well Known Nuckolls County Farmer
John Jay Rogers, a lifelong resilient of the Superior community, passed away at his farm home northwest of Superior, Friday, Oct 18, at the age of G7 years, 9 months and 5 days.
Mr. Rogers was born in Jewell county, Kansas, near here, the son of Duane and Clarissa Rogers, on Jan. 13, 1890.
On Sept. 15, 1910 he was united in marriage to Alvira Stinson and nine children were born to this union.
Surviving are his wife, seven children, Mrs. Clarence (Ila) Wilton, Bud B. end Billie D.
of Superior, Mrs. Don (Rose) Fintel of Bostwick, Mrs. Raymond (Dixie) Klawitter, Rupert, Idnho, Val R. of Nampa, Idaho, and Donald L. of Hutchinson, Kan., also 21 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Pettis, Watonga, Okla., Mrs. Ella George, St. Helena, and Mrs. Lena McClung, Denver, and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by son, La Verne in 1951, one daughter, Maxine in infancy and one granddaughter, his parents, three brothers, George, Rodney and Edgar, and one sister, Mrs.
George (Emma) Jantzen.
Funeral services were held at the Megrue Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Oct. 22, with Rev, Bryant Currier officiating, and interment was in Evergreen cemetery.

IRWIN - Dixie M. Klawitter, 78, of Irwin, Idaho, died Feb. 24, 1998, at Columbia Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
Graveside services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home in Idaho Falls.

Raymond A. Klawitter, son of Adolph Richard and Lauretta Tracy Klawitter, was born at Nelson, Nebraska, November 3, 1915 and passed away November 13, 1993, at his home in Irwin, Idaho. He grew up and worked with his father on the family farm near Nelson and attended Nelson schools.
July 20, 1936, he married Dixie Rogers at Belleville, Kansas. After their marriage, he left the family farm and worked on a farm in Nebraska for the next five years. They moved to Buhl in 1941, where he continued to farm. Raymond served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1944. They moved to Irwin in 1990.
His hobbies include hunting, fishing, gardening and yard work.
Preceding him in death were two sisters and one brother.
Survivors include his wife, Dixie of Irwin; one son, Richard of Idaho Falls; four sisters, Erma Welch of Ohio; Trudy Horton of Orange, California, Wilma Leighton of Boise River and Helen Harding of Boise; and one brother, Lavern of Ohio.
Graveside services were at 3 p.m. Thursday in Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. Major Raymond Cross officiated. Pallbearers were Joe Holeman, Al Smith, Keith Wilson, Richard Prophet, Jim Harding and Chuck Harmon. Honorary pallbearer was Frank Leighton. Buck-Sullivan Funeral Home, Idaho Falls, was in charge of the arrangements.
