James Michael Scott was born Sept. 29, 1962, and was welcomed home by his adoptive parents, Charles and Darlene (Sackett) Scott. Jim attended various elementary schools and finished his education attending high school in Hastings, Minn.
Jim was a very simple man. He loved to draw and had a great knowledge of history. One of his favorite subjects to study was World War II and he enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others.
On Sundays, you could find him with his TV on watching NASCAR and cheering on his favorite driver.
In his youth, Jim was very active in sports, and enjoyed playing hockey.
He was an Elvis fan and throughout the years had acquired quite the collection of his music.
Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Rhonda Trapp and her husband William; nieces and nephews, Crystal Trapp, Heather Trapp, Amber Estrada and her husband, Joby, and Zachary Trapp; nine great-nieces and nephews; as well as many cousins, extended family and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Darlene Scott; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
