Obituary of Marian Inez McKay Cluff
Posted 1 Jan 2011 by sidersn
The Press Gazette, Hillsboro, Ohio, Friday, May 19, 1967
OBITUARY
Marian Inez Cluff, born Dec. 1, 1906, at Monticello, Ky., passed away at her home at 9 o'clock Saturday, April 29, 1967. She was the daughter of Willis and Lucy Olden McKay. At the age of 18 Marian moved with her family to Ohio where she attended Hillsboro High School and graduated from here in 1925. She also attended Wilmington College and graduated frm the Greenfield Teachers' College. She taught several years in the public schools. She was a member of the Marshall Methodist Church, a devout Christian, which was shown by her everyday living.
On Dec. 27, 1927, she was united in marriage to David Newton Cluff, who survives with two daughters, Janet Bach, who came home to help care for her mother, Nancy Siders of Hilliard, and a son, Donald, at home. She was preceded by a son, David. Mrs. Cluff is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Hazel Bach, of Dayton, three brothers, Howard of Muskogee, Okla., Roy of Dayton and Olin of Hillsboro Rt. 8, and eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by Mrs. Etta Garen and Mr. Frank Caplinger, who have for many years shared their home and loving care.
Death is just a gateway Our loved ones pass through On their way to the land Where we're all born anew--- And while we can't see What's on the other side We know that Our Father Will richly provide All that He promised To those who believe And His Kingdom is waiting. For us to receive.
CARD OF THANKS
The family would like to thank the neighbors, relatives and friends for the flowers, cards, letters and many acts of thoughtfulness shown us during our sorrow.
