Roberta Kennedy Fox
HARDIN -- Roberta Kennedy Fox, 75, of Hardin, died Tuesday evening, Nov. 30, 1993, in the Big Horn County Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born April 27, 1918, at her grandfather's farm in Green County, Ill., a daughter of Basil G. and Lillie C. Kennedy. Roberta grew up tn White Hall, Ill. She attended White Hall High School, graduating in 1936, as salutatorian. After high school she attended Peoria School of business, graduating In 1939. It was while tn Peoria, Ill., that she met her future husband, Richard A. Fox. They were married in Peoria on July 27, 1940. The couple moved to Washington, D.C., during World War II, while Rich served his country as an Army officer.
Roberta moved to Hardin in 1946, and formed the Fox Oil Company Partnership with her husband and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Ken and Lil Fox, and Chick and Virginia Lundberg. She remained a partner until her death. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991.
She was a loving, caring mother who was very much devoted to her family. She was loved and respected by all who knew her and her presence in their lives will be greatly missed. Books were a joy in her life and she loved to read. She also loved to collect antiques.
Roberta was a member of the First Congregational Church, UCC, Hardin Senior Citizens and Chapter L, PEO.
Survivors include her sons, Richard Jr. of Vermillion, S.D., Michael of Lakewood, Colo., Steven of Bozeman, Dennis and his wife, Janet, of Hardin, Timothy and his wife, Mary Jo, of Billings, and Paul Karas and his wife, Valerie, of Kirkland, Wash.; her sister, Doris McKenzie of Brighton, Mo.; her brother, Austin Kennedy of Holly HilL Fla.; and seven grandchildren, Nora, Sean, Susan, Kirk, Patrick, Michael and Caroline.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the First Congregational Church of Hardin with Rev. Bill Tibbs officiating. Private inurnment will be in the Fairview Cemetery with Bullis Mortuary of Hardin entrusted with the arrangements.

Brighton, MI. Age 90. Died October 25, 2006 from complications following surgery. She was raised in White Hall, Illinois; and lived in the Washington, DC area and Pleasant Ridge before moving to Brighton in 1967. She is survived by her husband of 64 years Charles, of Brighton; sons Stuart of Highland Park, IL; Charles of Berlin, Massachusetts; Robert of Beaverton, Oregon; and daughter Sue of Pinckney. She is the grandmother of Ted McKenzie of Highland Park, IL and Katherine Spranger of Madison, Wisconsin, and great-grandmother of Max and Miles Spranger of Madison, WI. She was a loving wife and mother, and she will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Howell, 323 W. Grand River, Howell. A reception at the church will follow the service.

CHARLES STUART MCKENZIE
Age 92, died June 14, 2009 in Brighton. Mac was raised in Port Huron and attended Port Huron Community College. He graduated from the University of Michigan Engineering School with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in 1938. He joined the Army in 1941 and worked at the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland until WWII ended. He married Doris Kennedy of White Hall, Illinois in 1942. He worked at Chrysler Corporation and Ford Motor Company. They lived in Pleasant Ridge with their growing family for 14 years and in 1967 built their dream house on Winans Lake near Brighton. Mac retired from Ford in 1974 and enjoyed many years of playing golf, hunting, and traveling. He and Doris were members of the Lakelands Golf and Country Club, and Mac participated in the Brighton Senior Men's Club. His last years were spent at the Caretel nursing home in Brighton. His wife Doris preceded him in death in October 2006. He is survived by his four children: Stuart, Charles, Sue, and Robert; two grandchildren, Kate and Ted; and two great-grandchildren, Max and Miles. A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Howell, 323 W. Grand River, on Thursday, June 18 at 10 a.m.
