      Mrs. Mary Frances Langley, 89, died in a local nursing home Wednesday night and funeral service will be conducted at Johnson Funeral Home in Kalispell. Interment will be in Conrad Memorial cemetery.

      She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Elmer F. (Dorothy) Hanson, Havre; a sister, Mrs. Lena Johnson, Peoria, Illinois.

      Mrs. Langley was born in England, May 24 1886 and came to the United States with her parents. She was raised in Streator, Illinois.

      Mrs. Langley was married in Streator, July 21, 1901, to Clarence Langley. They lived in Red Lake Falls, Minn., where they farmed and operated a dairy. In 1909 they came to the Chester area homesteading two miles north of the town. Langley served as Liberty County deputy clerk and recorder for 36 years. In 1946 the Langleys retired and moved to Kalispell. Langley died Sept. 6, 1964. March of 1971 Mrs. Langley moved to Havre and made her home here.

      She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Royal Neighbors of America, and was a member of the Methodist church.
      Daughter of George Armstrong (Dec 1854) and Mary Ann Atkinson (Oct 1855).
