Mr. and Mrs. Mac Young of 2663 W. Road 600 North celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Saturday.
Mac Young and the former Ailene Tennent were united in marriage March 25, 1939, at the Beamer Methodist Church parsonage with the Rev. Clifford Powell officiating.

Ailene Young
Ailene "Lilly" Young, 74, 2663 W. Road 600 North, died at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 1990, in Saint Joseph Hospital & Health Center.
She was born April 21, 1916, in Kokomo, a daughter of William and Anna (Gibbons) Tennent. March 25, 1939, she married Mac Young, who survives.
She retired in 1976 from Delco Electronics after 39 years of service. She was a member a Presbyterian church, Del-Ra Club and Delco Alumni Club.
Also surviving are a son, Jeff Young of Kokomo; two brothers, Hugh Tennent of Bruce Lake and Nathaniel Tennent of Kokomo; two sisters, Mrs. George (Connie) Gower and Annabelle Webster, both of Kokomo. A brother and three sisters preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Murray Funeral Home at Galveston. The Rev. Warren Purcell will officiate. Burial will be in Galveston Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
