Mrs. Eva Stanton Of Tvringham Dies at Hospital
NEW LEBANON, N. Y.,--Mrs. Eva Sackett Stanton, 47, a native of this town, more recently of Tyringham, died this morning at Hillcrest Hospital, Pittsfield, following an operation.
She was born Jan. 3, 1893, the daughter of Frederick G. Sackett and the late Mittie (Marshall) Sackett. She was twice, married, her first husband, Herbert Owens to whom she was wed in 1916 having died in 1921. Later she married Junius Stanton of Tyringham who survives her.
There are also two sons, Herbert and Eugene Owens, a son, Robert Stanton, her father, two sisters, Mrs. Maude Drowne of New Lebanon, Mrs. Edna Sackett of Pittsfield, Mass., two uncles and an aunt.
For 12 years Mrs. Stanton.t was a telephone operator at West Lebanon.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
The body has been taken to the Wellington Funeral Home, 220 East Street.
Members of the family will meet at the funeral home tomorrow afternoon from 2.30 to 4 and tomorrow evening from 7 to 9.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Stanton Held in Lexington
Graveside services for Mrs. Ann Smith Stanton of Tallahassee, Florida were held at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock with the Rev. Roy Raddin and Rev. Wilson Ray officiating. Southern Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Stanton, a native of Lexington, died in Florida Sunday.
Survivors include her husband R.F. Stanton of Tallahassee, Florida; two daughters, June Christins and Marcia Ann; a brother, Billy Cooper Smith of Jackson and her mother, Mrs. W.C. Smith of Tchula.

age 66, of Kettering paseed (sic) away unexpectedly on Sunday. He is survived by his 5 daughters. Ruth Meyers of Houston, Tex.; Barbara Owens of Corvallis, Mont.: Joan Cornett of Bellbrook, O.; Mary Owens of Corvallis, Mont.; and Jane Owens of Dayton; 2 sons, John of Dayton and James of Xenia, O.; and the children's mother, Marrdelle Owens of Dayton, O.; 2 brothers, Eugene of N.J. and Robert Stanton of Tallahassee, Fla; 2 aunts, Edna Hunt and Marion Owens both of N.Y. and 8 grandchildren. Herbert was a retired Master Sergeant from The U.S. Air Force and a lifetime member of VFW Post 8312 where he served as The Commander. Funeral services 11am Friday from The Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. Interment will be in The Davton National Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8pm on Thursday.

Eugene "Dick" Owens
MONTICELLO -- Eugene "Dick" Owens, 69, of Monticello, died Friday at Tallahassee Memorial Regional Medical Center.
Memorial service will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Monticello.
A native of Hackensack, N.J., he had lived in Monticello four years. He was a retired construction worker, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a Protestant.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Owens of Monticello; a son, Richard Owens of Newfield, N.J.; a daughter, Patricia Potts of Gloucester, NJ.; a brother, Bob Stanton of Monticello; and four grandchildren.

Major Robert Frederick Stanton, USAF Ret., 92, longtime resident of Monticello, Florida, died Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Aldersgate Retirement Community in Meridian, Mississippi.
He is survived by his daughters, Chris Stanton Lauderdale (Jim) of Meridian, Marsha Ann Stanton of Pensacola, Florida and son, Robert Frederick Stanton, Jr., of Monticello, Florida; grandchildren, James Abner Lauderdale IV (Ashley) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and William Stanton Lauderdale (Lindsay) of McKinney, Texas; great-grandchildren, Ann Marie Lauderdale, Mary Abner Lauderdale, James Abner Lauderdale V and Olivia Willett Lauderdale.
He is predeceased by his parents, Junius Rhoades Stanton and Eva Sackett Stanton; wives, Ann Louise Smith Stanton and Mary Krause Stanton; and brothers, Herbert Owens and Richard Owens.
At his request, there will be no funeral service. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery in Lexington, MS.

ROBERT F. STANTON WEDS MISS ANN LOUISE SMITH
In a simple but impressive ceremony, Miss Ann Louise Smith, daughter of Mrs. C. W. Smtih and the late C. W. Smith of Tchula and Mr. Robert Frederich Stanton, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. _.
H. Stanton of Tyringham, Mass., were married in the Little Church of the West in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 1, 1950 at 3:80 in the afternoon. The double ring ceremony was read by by Rev. Wessel. The bridal couple came down the aisle to the soft strains of organ music and stood before the chancel which was lighted by candles in cathedral candelabra.
For her wedding, Mrs. Stanton wore a white wool gabardine suit and white hat with brown accessories.
Mr. and Mrs. Stanton are making an extensive motor trip through California, Utah, Colorado and other western states.
