Ronald F. Sackett
Ronald Francis Sackett, 57, a lifelong resident of Olympia, died of cancer Monday, July 24, 2000, at home.
He was born Feb. 8, 1943, to Roland and Dorothy Sackett in Tacoma.
Mr. Sackett married Pamela Sue Wells. She preceded him in death. He married Barbara Jo Sanford on Oct. 30, 1989.
He served In the Navy from 1962 to 1965. He was an E-3 upon discharge.
He retired from transportation and truck driving.
Mr. Sackett was a member of the United Church of God.
He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.
Mr. Sackett is survived by his wife, Barbara Jo Sackett of Olympia; two sons, Christopher Craig Sackett of Brookings, Ore., and Jason Ruben Sackctt of Lacey; three stepsons, Dean Richard, Brendan Kevin and Bradley David Boedeker, all of Olympia; four stepdaughters, Jennifer Ruth Wright of Tacoma, Theresa Boedeker Nelson of Carbondale, Ill., Bliss Boedeker Tischer of Neosho, Mont., and Bridget Barbara Boedeker of Olympia; four sisters, Eileen Sackett Spromburg of Granite Falls, Darlene Sackett Kunze of Kent, and Paulene Sackett Donat and Judy Sackett Westmark, both of Puyallup; his mother, Dorothy Jane Wetrick Schwass of Puyallup; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, George Roland Sackett, and his father, Roland C1ayton Sackett.
A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday. July 27, at Westwood Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Sound Homecare and Hospice, 3706 Griffin Lane S.E., Olympia, WA 98501.
Arrangements are by Woodlawn Funeral Home, Lacey.

Pauline was married to Raymond Lee Donat on July 12, 1963, they were husband and wife for 53 years. Sadly, Ray preceded her in death on 09/28/ 2016. Pauline and Ray raised their daughter and only child in their family home where they made many wonderful family memories and enjoyed good times with neighborhood friends. Pauline loved spending time outdoors taking long walks and hiking in the mountains. Every summer. Pauline picked berries with her daughter and neighbor at a local farm in Sumner, WA. She also enjoyed soaking up the sun and swimming at nearby local lakes.
Pauline is survived by her daughter, granddaughter, sisters and brother in-law,. Others who will cherish her memory include numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery.
