      Robert Mack Kinnan

      Robert Mack Kinnan, age 84, died Tuesday.

      He was born in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was a 1930 graduate of the University of Iowa; and athletic director at Washington University in St. Louis, before serving In the Navy. Mr. Kinnan was a founding member of the Headliners Club and a member of the Board of Trustees. He was a Senior Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of the First City Bank of Austin at the time of his retirement.

      Survivors include his wife, Betty Carrier Kinnan, Austin; daughter and son-in-law, Gretchen and Charles Ferguson, Houston; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Mack Jr. and Margaret Kinnan, Kaufman; grandchildren, Gretchen and Charles Ferguson, Kathryn, Mary Margaret and Caroline Kinnan.

      Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, with the Reverend Anne Hoey officiating. Burial will be In Austin Memorial Park.

      Honorary pallbearers will be John S. Burns, Malcolm Milburn, Thomas O. Murphey, George Robinson, John Joseph, Dr. Gerald Senter, Sal Levatlno, Dr. Nelson Avery, Gene Gldel, Dr. C. Dale Parker, and Thomas Harper, III.

      Memorial contributions may be made to the Seton Development Board or the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. Arrangements by Weed-Corley Funeral Home, 3125 North Lamar, 452-8811.

      Betty Carrier Kinnan

      Betty Carrier Kinnan, 74, of Austin, died Saturday, October 8, 1994.

      Born March 12, 1920, in Vinton, Iowa, she was the daughter of Gretchen and Joseph Carrier. Betty attended the University of Iowa. She was a member of The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, The Junior League of Austin, Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnus, The Settlement Club of Austin, Seton Hospital Development Board and the PEO Chapter.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mack Kinnan.

      Survivors include her daughter, Gretchen Kinnan Ferguson and husband, Charles Lee Ferguson of Houston; son, Robert Mack Kinnan, Jr. and wife, Margaret Boehme Kinnan, of Kaufman; grandchildren, Gretchen Elizabeth Ferguson, Charles Kinnan Ferguson, Kathryn Elizabeth Kinnan, Mary Margaret Kinnan and Caroline Carrier Kinnan. Betty is also survived by sisters, Jane Carrier Gidel and husband, Gene, of Amarillo and Margot. Carrier Eldridge of Kerrville.

      Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday in the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd with The Reverend Everett H. Cain Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.

      Pallbearers will be Knox Fitzpatrick, Thomas Harper III, Sal Levantino, Paul Teten, William Teten and Charles Morrison. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Dale Parker, John S. Burns, Malcolm Milburn, George Robinson, Tom Murphy, Gene Gidel, Dr. Nelson Avery and Dr. John Costanzi.

      Memorial contributions may be made to Seton Hospital or The Allan Shivers Cancer Center.
