LAKE WALES, Fla. ? John W. Sackett (Uncle John), age 57, of Conneaut, died unexpectedly Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010, at his winter residence in Lake Wales, Fla.
John was born Sept. 30, 1954, in Conneaut, to Leo K. and Josephine (Mecci) Sackett. He was a graduate of Conneaut High School and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.
John was a member of the Elks Lodge and enjoyed motorcycles, computers and especially his cats. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Mick Sackett; and good friends, John Rebera, Pat Roach and Sonny Drummer.
John is survived by his wife of 36 years, Tina (Hobbs) Sackett; daughters, Jessica Sackett of Conneaut and Debbie Delgado of St. Cloud, Fla.; sisters, Georgina "GiGi' Drnek of Andover, Ohio and Terry Sabo of Northeast, Pa.; brother, Jim Sackett of Tennessee; four grandchildren, Georgina J. Sackett, Tyler Moore, Zachary Delgado and David Delgado; and many nieces and nephews.
"John was loved by many and will be missed beyond belief."
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 30th, at RAISIAN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut, Ohio, with Pastor John Singer, of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Conneaut.
Calling Hours will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, Oct. 29th, at The Funeral Home.
