      VERA RAND, LESTER MCCREA UNITED IN MARRIAGE

      Miss Vera Rand, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Rand of Baldwin Park, was united in marriage to Lester Albert McCrea, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Stock of Compon weel ago Sunday at three o'clock. Setting was the Pasadena Chapel of Roses and Dr. Arthur Odell performed the double ceremony.

      Bride was lovely in a white embroidered nylon gown with curving peplum and sweeping train over white satin. She carried a bouquet of white roses.

      Mrs. McCrea attended Baldwin Park school and was graduated from Covina high school. She was employed by Lockheed aircraft until her marriage.

      The groom is a graduate of South Gate and Compon schools. He joined the navy in 1942, serving until 1945 when he received his discharge.

      Couple will make their home on Long Beach after a two week honeymoon at Lake Tahoe.
