      When her three sons were in the U.S. Army during World War I she engaged in various womens war activities group while her sons were gone. Since she was to be buried in Fairfield, Iowa her body was taken from Chicago to Fairfield in a special car by the railway company. Married to Colonel Elmer A. Howard. Daughter of Fairfield pioneer Ward Lamson and Maria A. Danielson.
