HARRISON. John "Pic" Alden Harrison, 72, of 252 Buckland Road, South Windsor, died Saturday (Oct. 16) in Bar Harbor, Maine. He was. the husband of the late Dorothy (Dewey) Harrison. He was born in Middlebury, and had lived in South Windsor most of his life. He was a member of the Wapplng Community Church, and a former member of the Board of Deacons. He was presently an honorary member of the Board of Deacons. Mr. Harrison also served on the church Board of Trustees. He was president and treasurer of the Wapping Cemetery Association. He was a former member of the South Windsor Y.M.C.A., and was a self employed local building contractor. He leaves a son, David A. Harrison of Ellington; two daughters, Mrs. Jeanne H. Sabia and Mrs. Arlene H. Lumbra, both of South Windsor; a brother, Donald F. Harrison of Westboro, Mass., and eight grandchildren, Randall Sabia, Russell Sabia, Abbie Sabia, Julie Sabia, Jeffrey Sabia, Angela Sabia and Ginger Harrison and Daniel Harrison. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Samsel Funeral Home, 419 Buck-land Road, South Windsor. Burial will be in Wapplng Cemetery. His family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wapping Community Church in South Windsor, or to the Wapping Cemetery Association, co Mrs. Marilyn Burger, 617 Clark St., South Windsor, Ct. 06074.

Mrs. Florence A. Harrison
Mrs. Florence A. Harrison, 91, of 250 Columbia Blvd., Waterbury, widow of Herbert Harrison, died there Tuesday. Born in Middlebury, she lived there most of her life. She was a member of Wolcott Congregational Church, Wolcott. She leaves three sons, Bertrand A. Harrison of Manchester, J. Alden Harrison of South Windsor and Donald F. Harrison of Westboro, Mass.; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Judd of Middlebury; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The funeral: Thursday, 11 a.m., Alderson Funeral Home, 70 Central Ave., Waterbury, with the Rev. Frank P. Haggard, pastor of Wolcott Congregational Church, officiating. Burial: Edgewood Cemetery, Wolcott. Calling hours: today. 7 to 9 p.m.

Bertrand A. Harrison
Bertrand A. Harrison of 27 Meadow Lane, Manchester, and Black Point Beach, East Lyme, died Sunday in Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was born in Waterbury and lived in Manchester for many years. Before retiring about 10 years ago, he was a teacher in Windham High School's vocational agricultural department. Before that, he was employed by Sealtest Ice Cream Co., Hartford, in laboratory testing. He was a member of the Wapping Community Church and a former president, secretary and treasurer of the Willimantic Kiwanis Club. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Grace Fowler Harrison; and two brothers, J. Alden Harrison of South Windsor and Donald F. Harrison of Westboro, Mass. The funeral: Wednesday, 1 p.m., Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St, Manchester. Burial: Quinnipiac Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours: Tuesday, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
