Mabel (Todd) Kier
Mabel Todd Keir, a fourth generation Californian born in Lodi, died at home on January 29, 2013. Her husband, Duncan B Keir, died fifteen years ago. They had been married sixty years and together owned Keir Krane Service in Modesto.
She is survived by two daughters, Janie Roberts and Judie Kindle; three grandchildren, David, Keith and Michelle; four great grandchildren, Kyle, Madison, Erik and Nicole; and three great-great grandchildren. Other family are her parents Estelle and Harvey Todd and siblings Hazel Houston, Betty Zimmerman, Leslie Todd and Lorena Todd.
Mabel was an avid and accomplished gardener, seamstress and tailor.
She enjoyed entertaining and travelling. Her life was full of laughter. She loved life and her family and many friends. We are sure that she would ask that you remember her not with sadness but with an appreciation for the joy of life and all its wonder. At her request, there will be no service. The memory of her smile, laughter and zest for life can be our tribute to a wonderful woman. She will so be missed.
