WILLIAM SACKETT DUELL was born in Syracuse, N. Y., on March 28, 1882, the son of Charles Holland Duell, a graduate of Hamilton College, Associate Judge in the United States Court of Appeals, District of Columbia, and of Harriett (Sackett) Duell.
He left college at the end of his Freshman year.
He married, April 19, 1905, at Ashland, Va., Louise E. Child, daughter of a chemist of Richmond, Va., who died in 1886, and of Louise (Ensor) Child of Richmond and Ashland, Va. He has two children. William Sackett Duell, Jr., born in Ashland, Va., February 5, 1906, and Robert Ensor Duell, born in Syracuse, N. Y., June 29, 1907. Charles H. Duell, Jr., 1911, is a brother.
