      Granddaughter of Marshall Bennett Sillman (1812-88) and Clarissa Hyde (1813-42), his 1st wife, m. 1837; Leman Matthews (1816-1902) and Mabel Barker (1816-92), his wife, m. 1830.

      Gr-granddaughter of Gersom Silliman (1783-1856) and Mary (Polly) Colman (1787-1864), his 1st wife, m. 1809; Calvin Hyde (1770-1880) and Anney Stanley (1769-1841), his wife, m. 1791; Simon Matthews (1769-1827) and Rhoda Royce (1775-1860), his wife, m. 1793.

      Gr-gr-granddaughter of Daniel Silliman and Sarah Brinsmade, his wife; Caleb Hyde and Elizabeth Sackett, his wife; Ebenezer Colman, Jr., and Phebe Carpenter (1764-93), his wife, m. 1782; Caleb Matthews and Anna Carrington (1743-1804), his wife, m. 1766; James Stanley and Esther Gridley (d. 1826), his wife, m. 1765.

      Caleb Hyde (1739-1820) served as captain, 1775, major, 1776-1777, and lieutenant colonel, 1778, Massachusetts troops. Discharged 1781. He was born in Norwich, West Farms (now Franklin), Conn.; died in Broome County, N.Y.

      Also No. 11435.

      Daniel Sillman (1752-1818) enlisted, 1775, as private in the 10th company, Connecticut Continentla regiment, and, 1777, served as sergeant in Capt. Jabez Wheeler's company of militia. He was born in Fairfield, Conn.; died in Easton.

      Ebenezer Colman (1751-1827) served as corporal in Capt. David Miller's company, Lieut. Col. Obediah Hosford's regiment, 1776, which marched to East Chester. He was born and died in Coventry, Conn.

      Caleb Matthews (1743-1814) was ensign, 1778, in the 2 regiment, Rhode Island Continental troops and promoted lieutenant, 1777, serving in the first battalion of infantry. He was born in Wallingford, Conn.; died in Bristol, Conn.

      James Stanley turned out at the Lexington Alarm in the 10th Connecticut company under Capt. Abraham Sedgewick. He was born, 1744, in Hartford, Conn.; died in Lisle, Broome County, N.Y.
