  • Notes
    • of Hebron and East Greenwich, in Conn. - [Weygant, p. 109]
Note: The reference to Reuben residing in East Greenwich comes from the founding of the East Greenwich Ecclesiastical Socity in 1756, which later became Warren. - [Thurmon King]
      ------
Weygant spelled his name as "Sacket." However, in a letter written by him, dated September 5 1792 to his son Dr. Samuel Sackett, he signed his name as "Reuben Sackett."

There also seems to be conflicting dates for the death of Reuben Sackett. Some have June 5, 1803 while others have July 5, 1803. Reuben's will is dated in 1800 and was presented for probate on 25 July 1803. Therefore, the answer to the conflict would be whether or not the heirs waited for almost two months to present the will for probate. The Warren Cemetery Association uses the June 5, 1803 date. - [Thurmon King]
