RICE--Anne Corbin Armstrong (Nancy), died February 24, 2010 in Highland, NY. Born September 27, 1915 at Danskammer Farm in Newburgh, NY. Shipley School '33, Vassar '37. She was a good woman, and strong. She loved animals and supported many causes. Survived by her son Peter Stuyvesant Brooks and daughter-in-law Frances Ann of Tarrytown, NY and by her brother Noel Armstrong of Lexington, VA. A memorial service will be arranged at a later date.

HIGHLAND - Anne Corbin Armstrong (Nancy) Rice died February 24, 2010 in Highland, NY. She was born September 27, 1915 at Danskammer Farm in Newburgh, NY.
She attended the Shipley School, graduating in 1933, and Vassar, graduating in 1937. She was a good woman and strong. She loved animals and supported many causes.
She is survived by her son Peter Stuyvesant Brooks and daughter in law Frances Ann of Tarrytown, NY, and by her brother Noel Armstrong of Lexington, VA. A memorial service will be arranged at a 4 later date.

Anne C. Armstrong, Vassar Graduate, Weds at Newburgh
Mrs. Noel Armstrong of Danskammer Farm, Newburgh, has announced the marriage of her daughter, Anne Corbln Armstrong, to Francis Brooks of Massachusetts. The ceremony took place at noon Saturday at the Armstrong home, with the Rev. Andrew Van de B. Vos and the Rev. Claude McIntosh, both of Newburgh, officiating.
Because of the recent death of the bride's father, the late Noel Armstrong, only relatives were present at the ceremony.
The bride is a graduate of the Shipley school, Bryn Mawr, Pa., and of Vassar college. She is a granddaughter of the late John Harper of the publishing family. Her uncle. Hamilton Fish Armstrong, is editor of "Foreign Affairs."
