MRS. LENA SACKETT
Mrs. Lena Sackett, 71, 406 1/3 Brady street, died in St. Luke's hospital at 9:50 a. m, Friday. She had made her home in Davenport since 1895.
The former Lena Hansen, daughter of the late Hans and Mary Hansen, was born in Clinton county, near DeWitt, Sept. 3, 1873, and attended Clinton county schools. Following her marriage to Charles E. Sackett Nov. 5, 1895, in Davenport, the couple made their home here. Mr. Sackett died April 14. 1936.
Mrs. Sackett was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church; Trinity chapter, No. 541, Order of the Eastern Star; Daughters of the Nile; Mohassan Caldron; Kaaba auxiliary; 1901 Mothers club, and the Daughters of the GAR, General Geddes circle.
Surviving are two brothers, Jake Hansen, MiCausland, and Harry Hansen, Silvis; four sisters, Mrs. Alvina Shippy and Mrs. Hanna Jochimsen, both of DeWitt, Mrs. Emma Geronsen, Clinton, and Mrs. Fred Kelting, Davenport, and several nieces and nephews. Two sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p. m. Monday in the Runge chapel followed by burial in Oakdale cemetery.
