She presided at the 1927 reception given at the opening of the Gracie Mansion to the public after its restoration by the museum, and had lent from her own possessions some of the furniture for the music room and the Sheraton Room.

Mrs. de Rham was long prominent in the social life of New York and Newport, R.I., and Tuxedo Park. Among the philanthropies which had received her help was the New York Institute for the Education of the Blind. She belonged to the Colony Club and the Colonial Dames of America.

Surviving are three sons, Casimir, William, and Stephen Whitney de Rham; a daughter, Mrs. Frederick S. Whitlock; a sister, Mrs. Caroline S. Spencer of Newport, R.I., and three grandchildren, Casimir Jr., William Jr., and David Patterson de Rham.
