KENNETH WAYNE SACKETT Resident of Fremont. A family and friends visitation for Kenneth Wayne Sackett, 46, will be held Friday, December 15th at Worden Chapel in Newcastle from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery will be private. The family prefers memorial contributions to benefit sick or crippled children's' research. Kenneth died Sunday, November 26th at his home in Fremont, California. He was born October 10, 1960 at Cheyenne, Wyoming the son of Kenneth L. and Eugenia (Burdette) Sackett. The family moved to Newcastle when he was one month old. He attended school in Newcastle and graduated from Newcastle High School in 1979. He then joined the Sea Bees Division of the U.S. navy, earning numerous medals, and retiring after twenty years of service to his country. He was employed for the past seven years as Operations Manager for a large construction company in Fremont, California. He is survived by his children, a daughter Jacqueline A. Sackett and a son Kenneth D. Sackett; his parents Dennis and Eugenia Patton; sister Kathy Sackett; brother Daniel Sackett; nephew Cody Sackett; grandmother Allena LaRusso; and nine step brothers and step sisters. Also surviving are uncles and aunts, Bobby and Kathy Shutters, Jim and Delores Clifton and five cousins; step mother Dorla Sackett. Preceding him in death were his father Kenneth L. Sackett, grandparents Leroy Sackett and Bessie Sackett and his grandfather George W. Burdette.
