Roy was born circa 1882, son of James Bell Remick, born Florey, Illinois, & Emma Jane Chase, born Rochester, Minnesota. Roy had worked as street car conductor and buyer of threshing machines.
Roy Remick enlisted in the Canadian Army 1 November 1915 at Winnipeg. He left Halifax 20 May 1916 for England. He was stationed at Bramshott Camp until 12 August 1916 when he went to France. He was killed by a bomb while going into battle.
