Some sources suggest that Anson Bassett Canfield married Phoebe Sharpe, the daughter of Lewis Sharpe. However, Anson Canfield was b. in 1786 in Vermont to Nathan Canfield and Betty Burton. It is the latter Anson Canfield who married Phobe Sharpe.
