DEATH OF MRS. GREENLEE.
One of Hutchinson's Old Residents Has Passed Beyond.
Mrs. Helen A. Geenlee (sic), widow of the late James F. Greenlee, and one of Hutchinson's old residents, died Saturday evening, at her home, 607 Avenue A east. She was 72 years of age.
Mrs. Greenlee had resided in Hutshinson for over a quarter of a century. She is survived by three sons, Fred S. Greenlee, of San Francisco, and Charles A. Greenlee and A. Greenlee, both prominent Hutchinson business men. Since the death of her husband three years ago Mrs. Greenlee made her home with her son, Charles.
Mrs. Greenlee was born in Kingston, Ohio, Jan. 4, 1840. She was married to James F. Greenlee Nov. 20, 1862. To them were born four sons, three of whom survive, the fourth, Clarence, having died in boyhood.
The family moved to Hutchinson from Knoxville, Ia., In the spring of 1884, and have been prominently identified with the city ever since. Mrs. Greenlee was a member of the First Presbyterian church. She had been an invalid for many years, but was always cheerful and patient.
The deceased was loved and esteemed by all. A kindly, motherly soul, her death is mourned by all who knew here. The funeral occurred at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon, from the home, conducted by Rev. V. S. Blaney.
