SACKETT, Maxine L.
Kalamazoo, MI Passed away Thursday evening, November 14, 2002. Maxine was born June 21, 1915 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Rexford and Stella (Wade) Ferguson, and has been a lifelong area resident. She was a lifelong member of the Christian Church Disciples of Christ. Maxine was an active volunteer with the March of Dimes, American Cancer Society, and the Renewed Hearts Club. For over 15 years she was an Avon Sales Representative, where she had received many top sales awards through the years. On January 12, 1935, Maxine was united in marriage to Kenneth Sackett, who preceded her in death on March 13, 1985. In 1986 she married Maurice Hiscock, who preceded her in death in 1998. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Victor Ferguson. Surviving are her children, Ronald (Karen) Sackett of Battle Creek, Linda (Arlen) White of Tallahassee, FL, Shirley (Dale) Dumaw of Golden, CO, Suzanne (Ken) Andres of Portage, Kenneth James (Mary) Sackett of Reed City; 15 grandchildren; many great-grand-children; a sister-in-law, Clazina "Kay" Ferguson of Portage; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the LANGELAND

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m Monday at the Christian Church Disciples of Christ (2208 Winchell Ave) with The Rev. Charles Kutz-Marks officiating. Interment will follow in West Cooper Cemetery. Memorials in Maxine's memory may be directed to Hospice of Greater Kalamazoo, or the Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
