Edward Samuel Richard Sackett (1902-1982) https://sackettfamily.info/g106/p106755.htm Father Edward Arthur Sackett (1870-1914) Mother Isabella Elizabeth Gibbs (c 1873-) Edward Samuel Richard Sackett, son of Edward Arthur Sackett and Isabella Elizabeth Gibbs, was born in Ramsgate, Kent, on 4 April 1902 and baptized at St Paul's Church, Ramsgate, on 10 June 1903. He died aged 79 in Thanet, Kent, in 1982. He married at St Luke's Church, Ramsgate, on 26 December 1921, Doris Lilian Pidduck, daughter of ___ Pidduck and ___ Fuller. Doris was born in Thanet, Kent, on 8 September 1903 and died there aged about 76 in 1980. In 1911 Edward was living at Ada Cottage, Farley Place, Ramsgate, in the household of his parents Edward and Isabella, and was recorded in the census as Edward Samuel Richard Sackett, aged nine and born in Ramsgate. At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Edward and Doris were living at 3 Edith Cottages, Ramsgate. Edward was a general labourer. Their daughter Rose was living with them.
