      Evelyn Lucille "Tudor" Jordan Oct. 15, 1922 - Dec. 3, 2014 FREELAND, WA - Evelyn Lucille "Tudor" Jordan of Freeland, WA, died on December 3rd, 2014, following a brief illness. She was born on October 15th, 1922, in Charlotte, MI, to Hale Bertram Sackett and Laura Church Sackett. She was the first in her family to be born in a hospital. Tudor was president of her 1947 graduating class at Borgess Hospital School of Nursing in Kalamazoo, MI. She married Clyde ("Bud") Jordan, Jr. in 1948. They moved to South Bend, IN, where they raised 5 children. She worked for many years in the nursery at St. Joseph's Hospital in Mishawaka, IN. Tudor lived for over 50 years in South Bend before moving to Washington in 2003 to be near her daughter, Julie. She was known for her strong hugs, positive attitude, and kindness. She enjoyed visiting with friends, snow, professional football, the Michigan State/Notre Dame rivalry, Beringer White Zinfandel wine, conservative politics and "Judge Judy." She was an avid reader of history, politics, poetry that rhymed and biographies, and also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Tudor is survived by her children, Julie of Greenbank, WA, Scott (Pam) and Todd of San Diego, CA, and Jill of North Liberty, IN. She is survived by her grandchildren, Melissa Kuhns of Manton, MI, Amy Kretser of Plattsburgh, NY, Brooke (Matt) Flood of Portland, OR, and Brett (Ali) Jordan of Stanford, CA. Tudor had five great-grandchildren along with nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Tudor was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clyde "Bud," her son Bradley, her sister, Emily, her brothers, Roger and Hinman "Tip," along with her nieces, Wendy Jordan and Janet Baker. Donations may be made in her name to Enso House, 6339 Wahl Road, Freeland, WA 98249; or to a charity of your choice . The family would like to thank the staff at Whidbey General Hospital and Enso House Hospice. As per her request, a memorial happy hour was held at her home on December 13th, 2014.
