      Ruth Jennings Is Church Bride Of Elwin Sackett

      Miss Ruth Isobel Jennings, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jannings Sr. of Meshoppen, became the bride of Elwin Sackett of 124 Spruce street, Athens, in the Meshoppen Methodist church on Saturday, Nov. 14.

      Rev. Norman Tiffany officiated at the service.

      Traditional wedding music was provided by Mrs. Mae Kintner who accompanied Miss Mary Alice Warner as soloist.

      Mrs. Robert Jennings of Meshoppen was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. James Stranger of Athens, and Mrs. Joan Inman of Athens. Miss Susan Sackett of Athens was flower girl and Gary Stranger of Athens was ringbearer.

      Acting as best man was Robert Jennings Jr. of Meshoppen. Ushers were Robert Stranger and Arthur Sackett, both of Athens.

      A reception for 100 guests followed at the bride's home. Guests were present from Athens, Binghamton, Johnson City, Monroeton, Chenango Forks, Scranton, Ulster and Meshoppen.

      The couple are residing at Athens.
