      George Leroy Ainley, 81, of Kalispell, died in the Fresno Community Hospital in Fresno, California Wednesday evening, May 2. He was born November 29, 1908, in Laurens, Iowa, a son of George and Bertha Ainley. When he was two years old he moved with his parents to Montana. He attended elementary and high school in Chester, graduating from Chester High School in the class of 1928. He then attended Hohenshuh Carpenter College of Mortuary Science. He passed the Montana State Board and received his license in 1929. He was employed with the Holland-Bonine Funeral Home in Havre until 1933 when he started the funeral home in Cut Bank. Montana He was later employed with the Waggener-Campbell Funeral Home in Kalispelland had managed mortuaries for Pierce Brothers in California. He was then
      employed with the Solie Funeral Home in Everett, Washington untll retiring in 1975 when he retumed to Kalispell and continued to work part time in the mortuary profession.

      He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and the Kiwanis Club. June 20, 1931, he married Rosalind Tolley, and is now survived by her at the family home. He is also survived by a daughter, Audrey Roubos of Fresno, California; a son, Lee Ainley of Mesa, Arizona; a sister, Bertha Christian of Polson, Montana; four grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.

      Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 8th in the Johnson Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Verlyn Retzer, pastor of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, officiating. Burial was to be in the Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
