Seaborn GOODALL was born in Burke County to
      ? Pleasant GOODALL R.S. & his wife
      ? Mary _____.
He was married, first, in 1817, to
? Rachel KEMP of Screven County, then, in 1844, to
? Mrs. Mary Ann HARRIS in Savannah (she was a native of New York - secondary sources give her maiden name as HOLTON), and finally, in 1855 in New York City, he married the widow
? Jerusha POST SACKETT (born about 1816 in New York City, died after 1880).

Seaborn GOODALL was clerk for courts in Screven County during 1816-1818 and 1820-1836, and afterward clerked for courts in Chatham County.

Seaborn & Rachel were the parents of six children, born about 1817 through about 1828:
? Solomon GOODALL, who married Martha E. GREEN (of Screven County, the daughter of William GREEN) in 1843 in Savannah - he settled in Mobile, Alabama,
? Louisiana GOODALL (born about 1821), who married the widower MacKay McNORRELL (born about 1816) of Burke County in 1850 in Savannah (by 1860, she was in the household of her father, along with her daughter, Julia G. MCNORRILL),
? Margaret A. GOODALL, who married Ralph DUNNING in 1870 in Savannah (they settled in Washington DC),
? Julia GOODALL, the widow of John Glasgow DOON (she first married in 1846 in Savannah; as a widow, she became the second wife of Isaac Spencer CLARK Sr. (b. 1820 in New York) in 1856 in Savannah, but by 1860, she and her children were living in Philadelphia with the surname DOON - although she was styled "widow" in 1860 (and thereafter), Isaac Spencer CLARK Sr. lived until at least 1871; she was a resident of Buffalo, New York, at the time of her death in 1895 - her tombstone includes only her first married name, DOON),
? William Pleasant GOODALL Sr. (about 1824-1887), the husband of Julia Z. BOON (she died 1911, they settled in Macon, Bibb County - she and several of their children are buried in Rose Hill Cemetery), and
      ? Samuel D. GOODALL II.

Abstract from Laurel Grove Cemetery Keepers Book: Seaborn GOODALL died the 12th of April, 1868, and was buried the following day in Lot 265. He was a native of Georgia, aged 72 years and 2 months, and a resident of St. Julian Street in Franklin Ward.
      _____________________________________

The Goodall House (Historic Marker in Screven County): The two story frame dwelling 200 yards west, built in 1815 by Seaborn Goodall, is all that is left of old Jacksonboro [former county seat of Screven County]. In it, in 1821, the itinerant preacher Lorenza [sic] Dow found refuge when he was attacked by the rowdies of the town, whom he had denounced for immorality. Goodall, a Godly man, rescued Dow. Standing on the bridge over the nearby creek, Dow cursed the town but asked God to bless Goodall and his home.
