RACINE - Mr. John Sterling Sacket Sr., 76, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 1996, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Milwaukee.
He was born in Racine on September 1, 1919, son of the late Sterling C. and Grace Hackett Sacket and was a lifelong resident of Racine and Somers. On February 24, 1945, he was united in marriage to Virginia Norma Louise Pederson.
Mr. Sacket was employed by the Peerless Machine Company, Young Radiator Company, Birdsall Buick, Racine Buick, Huntoon Buick of Kenosha, Don Hutson Chevrolet-Cadillac, Racine Volkswagon, Lemay and Sons of Kenosha, Merten Motors of Kenosha, and was the Owner and President of the Julius Anderson Horseradish Company of Somers. He retired from employment in 1986 and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia; his daughter and son-in-law, Sharon (Ned) Christopherson of Racine; his two sons and daughters-in-law, John (Charlene) Sacket Jr. of Kenosha, William (Tina) Sacket of Racine; seven grandchildren, William (Renne) Wendt IV, Carolyn (Richard) Null, Susan Sacket, John Sacket III, Samuel Sacket, Brooks Larson, Vincent Sacket; three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Brittany, and Valerie; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.
He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Anthony Sacket.
Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 745 Main Street, Saturday, April 27, 1996, 9:30 a.m. with Rev. Harvey Delery officiating. Entombment will follow at Graceland Garden Crypts. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Friday from 6 until 8 p.m.

Caskey-Wendt
Aug. 26 is a special date for Renne Lynn Caskey and William Norbert Wendt IV. Not only was it the day they met in 1992 and the day they were engaged in 1994, but it was also the day they were married in 1995.
The wedding took place during a 2:30 p.m. ceremony at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Steven Jennings officiating.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Warren Caskey of 1245 Highway V, Sturtevant. The groom's parents are William N. Wendt III of Racine and Sharon and Ned Christopherson of 2742 Parkshire Drive.
The bride's attendants were the maid of honor, Lisa Caskey (bride's sister); bridesmaids Crystle Olson (bride's sister), Jacki Poplawski, Vanessa Casper, Candy Hauser and Carolyn Null (groom's sister); junior bridesmaid Kirra Olson (bride's niece); miniature bride Valerie Anders (bride's daughter), and flower girl Taylor Wendt (groom's daughter).
The groom's attendants were the best man, Kurt Grayson, and groomsmen Dave Trossen, Greg Poplawski, Dave Casper, Steve Christman and Rich Null (groom's brother-in-law); brother-in-law); brother-in-law); brother-in-law); brother-in-law); junior groomsman Brooks Sacket (groom's cousin), and ring bearer Sam Sacket (groom's cousin).
Bill Sacket and John Sacket (groom's uncles) were the ushers.
The reception was held in the Atrium at Holiday Inn, Kenosha. The couple honeymooned at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.
They are living at 4832 Indian Hills Drive. The bride is a cosmotologist/nail technician at Image Makers. The groom is owner of B.N.W. Installation Roofing Co.
