  Thelma Maud Griffitts, loved to crochet, all her children have many afghans crocheted by her. She crocheted all her grandchildren afghans in their school colors, and many others. She gave many away to her friends. Thelma loved her Order of the Eastern Stars, she and Earnie were charter members of Edenton Chapter #560. She raised nine children, all sons were Masons, 2 Past Masters; and all three (3) daughters were Past Matrons of the Order of the Eastern Stars. She loved to travel all over the state visiting different Chapters. She loved being with her family, and was proud of all of them. The only time Thelma was on an airplane was in April 1985 she went to San Diego, California for her Granddaughter "Donna Ann Ross' Wedding", that was a great experience for her, those with her remember it well. She loved to laugh and have fun, raising nine children, she had to have a sense of humor....
