Carolyn Wetherill passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2000 at Abington Memorial Hospital. She was 88.
She was the daughter of the late Edward B. and Laura K. (Yerkes) Wetherill.
Born on a hundred acre farm in Stoopsville, Bucks County, she moved to Hatboro in 1924, graduated from Hatboro High School in 1930, and West Chester University in 1935.
Ms. Wetherill taught at Woodhill School, Hatfield School and Centennial School in Southampton.
She was a member of Glenside Bible Church for over 50 years.
Preceeding her in death besides her parents are a brother, E. LeRoy Wetherill and a sister, Mary E. Wetherill.
She is survived by a sister, Edith W. Davidson of Warren, Pa. and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 31, 2000 in the James R. Baskwill Funeral Home, Inc., 20 W. Montgomery Ave., Hatboro. Friends may call after 10 a.m.

Church
The Covenant Mission held a "Singspiration" on New Year Eve with soloists from various places. Leroy Wetherill played solos on a saw. Various quartets and trios were sung composed of Pastor and Mrs. Herman Davidson, and Miss Norma Bergquist of Ludlow, Miss Mary Wetherill of Brooklyn, Miss Carolyn Wetherill and Leroy Wetherill of Hatboro, Pa., Harold Johnson and Miss Ellen Davidson of Warren. Vocal solos were sung by the Misses Mary Wetherill and Norma Bergquist. Christmas Eve service held at midnight also included Miss Mary Wetherill, Miss Norma Bergquist, and Leroy Wetherill as vocal soloists and violinists, with Mrs. Davidson playing the flute.
