McDonough, GA. Granddaughters, Stacey Roper, Tallahassee, FL and
Jennifer Sackett, Columbus, GA. Mr. Sackett was preceded in death by his
wife of 54 years Vivian Rainwater Sackett in 1997. Funeral Services will
be held Sunday, October 5 at 3:30 at Wages & Sons Chapel with Dr. Dan
Parker officiating. Mr. Sackett served on the Stone Mountain City
Council, Member of the First Baptist Church, served on the Dekalb County
Planning Commission, Member of the Lions Club, Vice-President of the
Homeowners Association of Regency Towers, Destin, FL and Honor Graduate
of Georgia Tech. Burial Stone Mountain Cemetery. Wages & Sons Stone

Lt. Andrew Roswell Sackett (Retired), WW II Navy Aviator, partner in the Stone Mountain Builders Supply for 40 years, of Stone Mountain, died October 25, 1988. Survived by wife, Nora LaSalle Sackett; children, Ralph M. Sackett, Lilburn; Linette Shelley Sackett, Social Circle; brother, James Sackett, Stone Mountain; sister, Dolly Cooper, Boca Raton, Fla.; and two grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday, October 27 at 3:30 o'clock at Wages & Sons Chapel, with Dr. Lawrence Meadors officiating. Those desiring may make donations to the Cancer Society. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. Private interment will be held immediately following services in Stone Mountain City Cemetery. Wages & Sons, Stone Mountain.
