      Anna Viola (Biddison) LaHatt/ Yost, age 85, was born August 18, 1917 in Leon, Iowa. Mrs. Yost pased away at her home Friday, Feb. 28th. She came west with her family during the great depression and settled in Kendrick, Idaho. After marrying Carroll Sidney LaHatt in 1934, she and her family lived in various locations throughout the Pacific N.W. They finally established a permanent home in the Custer, Washington area.

      Anna was best known for her warm smile and happy hello to everyone that came into eat breakfast at the numerous restaurants where she worked.

      Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 7, 2003, 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Ferndale, with Father Tim Sauer, Celebrant. Burial to follow at Enterprise Cemetery.

      Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2003, 2:00 P.M. at the Custer United Methodist Church, 2996 Main Street, Custer, with Rev. Marvin Maddux officiating.

      Memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice at 800 E. Chestnut Street, Ste. 1-C, Bellingham, WA 98225.

      Anna Viola (Biddison) LaHatt/ Yost, age 85, was born August 18, 1917 in Leon, Iowa. Mrs. Yost passed away at her home Friday, Feb. 28, 2003. She came west with her family during the great depression and settled in Kendrick, Idaho. After marrying Carroll Sidney LaHatt in 1934, she and her family lived in various locations throughout the Pacific N.W. They finally established a permanent home in the Custer, Washington area.

      Mrs. Yost was preceded in death by her husbands Sid LaHatt and Matt Yost.

      Survivors include three daughters, Carroll Louise LaHatt and husband Robert Nilsen of Petersberg, AK, Ritta Leeann LaHatt of Omak, and Ann Marie LaHatt and husband Wess Downing of Ferndale three sons, Leonard S. LaHatt and wife Karen of Bellingham, Lorence D. LaHatt of Bellingham, and James A. LaHatt and wife Nanci of Bellingham 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren sister, Ruth and husband Clayton Creasey of Custer numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
