      Mrs. Charles H. Sackett
      On Saturday, February 8th, Harriet Robinson Sackett, widow of the late Charles H. Sackett, passed away at her home on Winthrop Street in Richester, following an illness extending over a period of several years. the week previous to her death she suffered a stroke from which she failed to rally.
      Mrs. Sackett was born in Corning but came here a young woman and lived the greater part of her life in this village in Oak Street. Their home was that now owned by Mr. W. P. Schanck. Mrs. Sackett was a member of Zion Episcopal Church and a most active member of the Aid Society at that time the prominent working organization of the parish and served it faithfully as treasurer for many years. She was a charter member of the O. E. S. She was a splendid neighbor and a woman greatly interested in community affairs. About 16 years ago they left Avon to make their home in Rochester. Mr. Sackett died in May 1928.
      The immediate survivors are her son, Homer S. Sackett of Evanston, Ill.; daughter, Mrs. Ralph H. Culley of 175 Bir? Street, Rochester; five grand children, Samuel and Letitia Sackett of Evanston and Martha, Bridgeland, and Ralph H. Jr. Cully of Rochester; one sister, Mrs. Jane Sackett and one neice, Mrs. Minnie Sackett Bassett of Rochester.
      Funeral services for the deceased were held at the residence on Winthrop Street, on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 p. m. Rev. Tyler, rector of Christ's Episcopal Church officiated.
      The remains were placed in the Babcock Memorial vault in Avon Cemetery for the present but will later be interred in their family lot.
      The bearers were W. V. Sackett, Carl Sackett, John Sackett and John J. Lacey.

      Mrs. Harriet M. Sackett, widow of the late Charles H. Sackett, died at her home in Rochester, Saturday Afternoon, following a long Illness.
      She is survived by one son, Homer S. Sackett of Chicago, and one daughter, Mrs. Ralph H. Culley of Rochester, and one sister, Mrs Samuel Sackett of Rochester.
      The funeral was held from the home, 30 Winthrop street, Rochester, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30. The remains were brought to Avon and placed in the receiving vault at the Avon Cemetery.
      Mrs. Sackett has resided in Rochester for several years, and the earlier part of her life was passed in this village. When her husband was Erie conductor, and later Pastmaster the Sackett home was famous for its hospitality. She was an ideal hostess and was prominent in the church, social and fraternal life of the community. There are scores of old friends and younger ones, too, who grieve at her passing, and who extend their heartfelt sympathy to those surviving her.
