W.Va. Lawyer, W. G. Sale, Dies
Charleston, W.Va., July 1 (AP). William Goodridge Sale, Jr., Charleston attorney, died last night in a hospital alter an illness of several weeks. He would have been 54 on July 3.
Sale was a nephew of Graham Sale, widely known Welch attorney in whose law firm he practiced for several years before coming to Charleston.
He was a native of Wilmington, N.C., but grew up in Richmond, Va. After graduating from Washington and Lee, he studied law at Yale University.
Surviving are his widow, formerly Ann Meriwether Anderson, of Richmond, and six children: Mrs. James David Barber of Wallingford, Conn.; Mrs. Walter Q. Wilson, of Hampton, Va.: Jane Lewis Sale. William Goodridge Sale 3d, Meriwether Anderson Sale, and Nell Graham Sale, all of Charleston.

Wedding Planned
Mr. and Mrs. Tommie F. Temple of Elizabeth City, N.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Artie June, to Dr. William Goodridge Sale III, son of Mrs. William Goodrich Sale II of Charleston, W.Va., and the late Mr. Sale.
The wedding is planned for Dec. 18.
Miss Temple is a graduate of East Carolina University and is chief of physical therapy at Metro General Hospital.
Dr. Sale is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College and the University of Virginia Medical School. He is assistant professor of orthopedics at Vanderbilt University Medical School.
