      MRS. ELIZABETH HOEPPNER

      CEDAR FALLS -- Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Hoeppner, 85, of Laredo, Tex., former resident of Cedar Falls, will be 2:30 p. m. Tuesday at Chapel of Memories Memories West in Waterloo. The Rev. James B. Bailey, pastor of First United Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Interment Interment will be in Garden of Memories.

      Friends may call at Chapel of Memories West until service service time.

      Mrs. Hoeppner died Friday evening at a nursing home in Laredo, Tex., of complications complications of age.

      She was born March 10, 1888 in Traer, the daughter of William and Lena Hansen Sackett. She was married to Chris Hoeppner on April 6, 1910 south of Traer.

      Mrs. Hoeppner and her husband were engaged in farming near Traer until 1945. They moved to Cedar Falls, where they resided until 1966. Since then she had resided with her children and at various nursing homes.

      Mrs. Hoeppner was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Waterloo.

      Surviving are two sons, Ray Hoeppner of Dysart, Jack Hoeppner of Colorado Springs, Colo.: two daughters, Mrs. Earl Speer of Laredo, Texas and Mrs. Ruth Lockard of 1301 Vine St., Waterloo; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by her husband in November of 1966.

      Waterloo Deaths

      CHRIS C. HOEPPNER

      Chris C. Hoeppner, 77, of 121 Independence Ave., died at 5:30 m Sunday at the McOready nursing home from complications of old age and a stroke.

      He was born March 31, 1889, the son of Chris C. and Margaret Schaffenberg Hoeppner, at Traer, Ia.

      He farmed at Traer until 1945, when he retired and came to Cedar Falls. He moved to Waterloo last winter.

      He married Elizabeth Sackett April 6, 1910, at Traer. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

      He is survived by his wife in a nursing home in Colorado Springs, Colo.; two daughters,Mrs. Ruth Lockard, 1301 Vine St., Mrs. E. T. Speer, Laredo, Tex.; two sons, Ray, of Dysart, and Jack of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one sister, Mrs. Harry Guy, Laguna Beach, Calif.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

      Services will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Chapel of Memories East with Associate Pastor C. Wayne Overholser of the First Presbyterian Church officiating.

      Committal services will be at the Garden of Memories.

      Friends may call after 7 p. m. Monday evening.
