      William J. Derrigo
      The prayer service for William J. Derrigo will be 3 pm Sunday, February 12th at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown. Calling hours are Sunday from 12pm - 3 pm prior to the service. A gathering will follow the service at the VFW on Bellew Ave.

      Mr. Derrigo, 41, of Stone Rd., Dexter, passed away unexpectedly February 7th in Johnson City, NY.

      He is survived by his mother Dorothy "Dot" Derrigo, Dexter; his father Michael Derrigo, Cape Vincent; 2 son's Gavin, Kyler and their mother, Grace; his twin brother Steven Derrigo and his companion Kim Baderman, Rodman; two sisters Sophia (Dan) Putnam, Smithville and Maria (Brendan) Geiss, Syracuse; nieces and nephews Mariah, Alexis, Adrianna, Izzy, Ryan and Kennedy; aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents Frederick and Mary LaFave, Peter and Carol Derrigo, a cousin Michael LaFave and two aunts, Sharon Graban and Joan Bennett.

      Bill was born in Rochester, NY, July 27, 1975, a son to Dorothy LaFave Derrigo and Michael Derrigo. He graduated from General Brown High school in 1993. He furthered his education at Barons Institute in Windsor, CT.

      Bill was a welder and pipe fitter, working for Hyde-Stone, Lawman's Construction and was currently working for Wilkens Mechanicals of Syracuse at the time of his passing.

      He enjoyed racing go-carts with his son Kyler, attending his sons wrestling matches, ice fishing, snowmobiling and attending Kyler's lacrosse and football games.

      Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.

      Peter P. Derrigo, 59, of 603 S. Hamilton St., former produce manager and fruit stand operator, died early Sunday at his home. He had been ill with cancer.

      ir,13l,6p6 The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the D.L. Calarco Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church, with Msgr. Anthony A. Milia, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

      Calling hours are 7 to 9 this evening and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County Inc., P.O. Box 677.

      Surviving are his wife, Carol; a son, Michael, Pillar Point; a daughter, Mrs. Peter (Sara) Curtis, Evans Mills; seven grandchildren; six brothers, Frank, Dominic, John and Rocco, all of Watertown, Michael, Gouverneur, and Joseph, Ogdensburg; three sisters, Angeline Marra, Mrs. Sam (Laurita) Felice and Mrs. Phillip (Lucy) Priolo, all of Watertown, and several nieces and nephews.

      Born in Watertown on April 6, 1930, a son of John and Sara Messina Derrigo, he was graduated from Watertown High School in 1948.

      He married Carol M. Boothe Oct. 2, 1954, at St. Anthony's Church, with Father Milia officiating.

      Mr. Derrigo was employed as produce manager at the former Grand Union store in Watertown until disability forced his retirement. He also operated fruit stands on outer Washington Street and at Baggs Corners, in addition to having worked at Derrigo's Fruit Stand, Bellew Avenue.

      He was a member of the Italian-American Civic Association and the Bow Shooters Hunting Club.
