Seth inherited land in Middleboro, Mass., from his mother, and in 1764 sold it with his brother, Samuel Waterman, Jr. On 29 May 1765, Samuel Waterman of Halifax conveyed (his wife Mary also signing) to Seth Waterman of Halifax, 21 acres, part of his homestead in Halifax; the deed was not recorded until 24 Mar. 1784, over a year after Samuel sold the remainder of his homestead and removed to Mansfield. Seth Waterman was "of Lime in the County of Grafton and State of Newhampsh ire Yeoman," 12 :Mar. 1787, when he bought from Samuel Waterman of Wellfleet [his brother].
