Moved with her parents to Muncie, Ind., in the month of April 1827. United with the Presbyterian church at an early eage[sic]. As there was no church here of that denomination she joined the Methodist, of which she remained a member until death called her home. She was married to Alexander T. Sackett in February, 1845. Moved to Iowa in 1854, located in Davis county for a short time. Came to Wapello county, this neighborhood in the year of 1860, having lived here ever since. To this union were born nine children, William, the youngest died at the age of three years. The rest are all living and present. Also her brother, the only surviving member of her father's family. Her husband enlisted in the army August 17, 1863. Was captured the last of July, 1864 and confined in the Andersonville prison, where he remained until some time in April 1865, when he was exchanged and on his way home was lost on the boat, General Lion, which was caught in a storm coming around Cape Hatteras and was destroued by fire. She was married to Hamilton Olney in October, 1869 who died in July 1883. Ever since then she and her youngest son, J. A. Sackett, have made their home together
