  Augustus Lawrence Miller, shipping company manager, son of John Miller and Elizabeth Sarah "Bessie" Sackett, was born in Peckham, London, in 1890.1,2 In 1891 Augustus was living at 149 Brayard Road, Peckham, Peckham, London, in the household of his parents John and Elizabeth, and was recorded in the census as Augustus L Miller, aged six months and born in Peckham.3 In 1901 he was living at 149 Brayard Road, Peckham, in the household of his parents John and Elizabeth, and was recorded as Augustus L Miller, aged ten and born in Peckham.4 In 1911 he was living at 149 Brayard Road, Peckham, in the household of his parents John and Elizabeth, and was recorded as Augustus L Miller, a shipping clerk, single, aged 20 and born in Peckham.5 Augustus and his brother Thomas were granted administration of their mother Elizabeth's estate in London on 14 November 1946.
