Ethel was born on November 19, 1925 in Huttonsville, West Virginia and was a daughter of the late George Dewey and Lauthbury Channell Wamsley.
She was married in Waynesboro on May 10 1947 to Charles Wilford Collins, who survives. They were united in marriage for 65 years.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Collins is survived by a son, Larry Collins and wife Nancy of Waynesboro; a daughter, Janet Bean and husband Harvey of Stuarts Draft; four grandchildren, Brian and Jessica Collins, Angela Bean and Donica Sluss; two great-grandchildren, Joshua McElroy and Kaylee Sluss; three sisters, Rigina Wamsley, Josephine Collins and husband Harold, Barbara Fidler; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl, Robert, and James Wamsley, and by one sister, Eleanor Pingley.
She graduated from Tygarts Valley High School in Mill Creek, West Virginia in 1945. Ethel was employed at General Electric and Genicom for 17 years. She was a flower gardener, great cook, homemaker, mother, wife, sister and friend to many. Ethel always enjoyed her home, family and friends, keeping in her tradition a kind, loving compassionate lady. She will be sadly missed and warmly remembered. Ethel was a member of the 2nd Presbyterian Church. We are assured that her faith has ushered her into the presence of her savior Jesus Christ.
