PEORIA -- Olive L. Biddison, 106, of 3850 Upper Creek Drive, Sun City Center, Fla., formerly of Peoria, died at 8:30 a.m. Monday,
May 3, 1999, at Palm Garden of Sun City Center in Sun City Center.
Born Sept. 4, 1892, in Decatur, Iowa, to Francis Marion and Augusta Lyons Lowrance, she married Ensign P. Biddison Sr. on Dec. 14, 1915, in Chariton, Iowa. He died Jan. 15, 1968, in Peoria.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Margaret Browdues, two sisters and one brother.
Surviving are two daughters, Ruby Buchner of Peoria and Janet Swain of Florida; two sons, Biddie and Jack, both of Peoria; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She and her husband established Peoria Chris Craft boat sales and also purchased Batey's Barn. She also was an elementary school teacher for nine years.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Grace Presbyterian Church, where visitation will be one hour before services. The Rev. Ben Johnston will officiate. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.

Ensign Biddison
PEORIA - Ensign "Biddi" Biddison, 87, 3502 N. Woodbine Terrace died at 10:20 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2005, at OSF St. Clare Home.
Born Feb. 20, 1918, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Ensign Platt and Olive Lowrance Biddison, he married Ruth L. Simmons on June 2, 1940, in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Ralph (and Linda) of Peoria; one brother, Jack (and Nadine) of Peoria; two sisters, Ruby Buchner of Peoria and Jaynet (and Jack) Swain of Sun City, Fla.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister.
He worked for Hiram Walker & Sons for 34 years, retiring in 1981.
He was a member of the American Federation of Musicians, Local 26; Temple Lodge 26 AF&AM, Peoria Consistory; and Mohammed Temple Shrine.
He was past president of the Mohammed Brass Band.
He also organized his own popular dance band under the name of the "Biddie Biddison Orchestra," which was voted the Midwest's most danceable band.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wilton Mortuary. The Rev. John King will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Additional visitation will be one hour before services at the mortuary. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
