Isaac Dickerman was seventh child & second son of LIEUT. ABRAM & MARY (COOPER) DICKERMAN, grandson of THOMAS & ELLEN (WHITTINGTON) DICKERMAN and JOHN & MARY (WOOLEN) COOPER, all my ancestors. He married MARY ATWATER in New Haven on June 30, 1709, the daughter of JONATHAN & RUTH (PECK) ATWATER. To this union was born 10 children, one of them being my ancestor, SAMUEL DICKERMAN (buried in the Mt. Carmel Cem.,Hamden). Isaac Dickerman married Elizabeth (Alling) Morris, widow of John Morris after Mary's death on 12 Jun 1754 in the second Congr. Church

Isaac was deacon of the First Church (now Center Church)until he left and joined the White Church (2nd Church) on April 2d, 1754 leaving the church a silver Paul Revere cup at his death.

He was a Captain of the Trainband, and a representative (deputy) to the General Assembly in Hartford for many terms.

Although his tombstone is nowhere to be found (said to be in a house in New Haven in 1960's)the picture shows a monument in the Grove St. Cem. which includes Isaac, Abraham & Thomas Dickerman.
